In its infancy, the company would work with a couple of today’s biggest video game companies, creating games for Activision and Electronic Arts.ĭuring the mid-1980s, Interplay found their niche with role-playing games, and created the three part series The Bard’s Tale, published by EA. With the help of investor Chris Wells, former Boone Corporation staff Brian Fargo, Troy Worrell, Jay Patel, and Rebecca Heineman formed Interplay Entertainment in 1983.
